so i don't have my list yet, however i was thinking it would be a good idea to see what everyone's favorite movies of all time are as of this time. i think we may have done this one before, but still... there were so many great movies that came out in 2008 that changed my list! once i get some time to sit and think, i will definitely put mine up, but in the meantime... how about you?

Wow.....Hmmmm.......Let me take a crack at this one. The only problem for me here is to pick ten. That is hard. But here we go....Starting with number ten, and working my way down.

10. The Passion Of The Christ
I will always remember this film. I think that everyone should.

9. Terminator 2: Judgment Day
This was the first big blockbuster movie that I was ever exposed to. And to this day remains a classic!

8. The Rock
Nic Cage & Sean Connery. With Michael Bay directing. A great combo and a great old school action blockbuster.

7. E.T.
Everyone loves E.T. right? Well probably not everyone. But I do. To this day I cry when I watch it.

8. Jurassic Park
The first time you see the dinosaurs on film you just know that you're in for something really special. To this day the special effects in this movie hold up.

7. Back To The Future
Just a magical movie experience. Pure perfection.

6. Raiders Of The Lost Ark
Gotta have some Indy. And what better movie than the one that started it all.

5. JAWS
What can I say? No one wanted to go to the beach after seeing this film.

4. Ghostbusters
Who ya' gonna call?

3. The Bodyguard
What?! Of all the movies that I could pick from! And number 3 no less!!! I can hear you grinding your teeth at this choice. What can I say, it was cheesy but I love it. And I love Kevin Costner.

2. Rocky Balboa
Why not the original Rocky you might ask? Well I feel that there are few franchises and marquee characters that can hold up over thirty years. And Rocky Balboa is one of them. Besides that, I believe that after all this time, to make a movie thirty years later that could actually challenge the quality of the first film is, to me, a huge deal.

1. First Blood/Rambo
Okay so I picked 11 movies. But I just couldn't decide between my last two. I think that it goes without saying that I am a little bit of a Stallone fan. And John Rambo is by far my favorite movie character of all time. I am just drawn to him. And Like Rocky Balboa, Stallone just knows how to become him. And I think that these two films almost mirrored each other perfectly. First Blood is a classic, but I think that Rambo edges it out to become my number one favorite movie of all time. There I said it.

Really nice list man. Good job.
So I think it's now safe to say that you don't like foreign films or old films. Am I right?

Oh no not at all. Now that I think about it Casablanca probably should have been on my list, but I forgot about it. See that's the trouble with picking ten. Even if you take your time, you're gonna leave a few out that probably should have been on your list. But what can you do? We're gonna have to do a top 100 list sometime. As far as foreign films, I haven't really been exposed to them all that much. So I can't like or dislike what I don't know? Know what I mean?

Yeah totally. I should talk to Krystle about having like a once a month foreign/indie film night. People would probably understand her and I a little better after seeing some of these films that we are always talking about too. hmmmm

ok ok... i have a list!!!! :) so here i go...

again, the dark knight and slumdog millionaire. it just doesn't get better than these 2 movies for me. love them both.

oh, and in case i forgot to mention it last time i brought up slumdog millionaire, I LOVE BOLLYWOOD!!! just in case i forgot :)

and i love batman. he's the best super hero ever because he's not super. he's just a man with all the money at his disposal, and that believes in justice. my kind of man :)

sunshine

one of the most amazing movies of all time, and my first experience with danny boyle. i love that guy, he's great. (in case you missed it, he also did slumdog millionaire and trainspotting) you must see this. i just loved the very real, human frustration and failures that played into this. i just get chills thinking about the scene when Kappa needs to get to the payload so he can reignite the sun, and he falls and screams. i just love it. so real, so beautiful.

hook

if you have never seen this, you just will never understand me lol. i adore this movie, and no matter how many times i've seen it, it never ever gets old. i love it just as much every time. when josiah told me this was one of his favorite movies, i knew we were meant to be :) and dustin hoffman? awesome!!!

rocky

i admit. i was skeptical. ok, more than skeptical, i was judgmental and i wanted nothing to do with movies involving sylvester stallone. josiah convinced me to watch it as it was one of his favorite movies, and so i did, dreading every moment. and yet i got caught up in the whole thing, and i loved it. rocky balboa is one of my favorite characters in a movie ever. he's lovable and real and he has a good heart (that he uses to smash peoples faces in!). i think we watched the rest of the rocky series in the next week or so and i loved them all. i love sly! what can i say.

the fall

i waited and waited and waited for this movie. and when i saw it, i was not disappointed. i just don't even know where to start with this. it was just amazing. must see, all the way. (yay lee pace!!!)

pan's labyrinth

have you seen this yet? no?! then get up and see it!!!!! this movie was so beautiful, and i'm not just talking about the way it was shot, although that was gorgeous. the story, the acting, just everything. beautiful. and i got to see doug jones!! love that guy :)

son of rambow

i know i keep using this word, but i'm talking about my favorite movies ever and i can't help it!!! beautiful beautiful beautiful! i just adore both the boys in this movie, i can't help it. i want to put them in my pocket and carry them around to shoot funny rambo scenes for me! i've never gone from hating someone so much in a movie to just wanting to give them a hug and kiss them on the head.

life is beautiful

words just don't suffice. watch it, and bring a box (yes, the whole thing!) of tissues with you

devdas

just WOW! it's like an explosion of love and romance and colors and dancing and singing and awesomeness! my first introduction to bollywood (which i LOVE, did i mention that?), to Shahrukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit, and Aishwarya Rai. this movie is like romeo and juliet on bollywood drugs lol. it's the best, and i love it (beware if you want to see it... it's about 3 hours long... but worth it!!)

and i have to add these in... they didn't make it, but i love them just the same. i just couldn't in my heart put them over all of these. but anyways...
Interview with the Vampire. the first tom cruise movie i loved where i even loved (to hate) tom cruise.

Romeo and Juliet. i watched this almost every day for about a year or so. i love it! and i got to see the wonderful work of Baz Luhrmann.

The Little Mermaid. i had the sheets. the barbie. i knew (and i know) all of the words. and i watched this movie 2 times a day every day for at least 2 years. ask my mom, she will tell you :) i speak the truth!

My Big Fat Greek Wedding. just funny funny funny!
