Yup, we are adding rules to eCultureONLINE . Why? Because this place will not become another myspace.
When we started this we thought that we wanted to create a myspace/facebook competitor. We were wrong.
More and more we are embracing the thought of building a private community. Here at eCultureONLINE we are involved in a handful of private communities online. Some sites have very high requirements to meet if you want to become a member and a lot of strict rules to follow if you do make it in.
The tightly closed membership and the unforgiving rules are actually what make these sites far superior to the public communities. Rules and requirements work to the benefit of the members and content of the community as a whole.
As a personal note, I am a man of morals, ethics, and integrity. And since this is a private site, created by yours truly, I have no problem enforcing my standards here. If that's going to be a problem then I'll see you on myspace.
The Rules
- No "ADULT" (pornographic) Content.
This one should go without saying, But we're going to say it anyway. Any posting of pornographic content be it, pictures, comments, discussions, videos, whatever, Will result in an immediate ban.
- No Posting Content With The Intent To Shock Or Offend.
This means no deliberate attempts at personal insults, and no shock humor. eCultureONLINE is not a children's community so lets not act like children. Overall I will be making the call of whether or not something posted was intended to offend. Though I am very understanding, I would suggest that if you have even a slight feeling that something your doing could be interpreted by me as purposefully offensive then be on the safe side and don't do it. Breaking this rule will result in 1 Warning. After that you are banned.
- Respect One Another.
This is another that should go without saying, But we sadly feel the need to include it. Don't be jerks, Be nice, Do unto others... blah blah blah. Seriously, We need to inspire and encourage each other. eCultureONLINE is not a platform for insecurity. So if you cant be civil here on eCultureONLINE then this is not the place for you. I'm not saying that you cannot disagree or argue about something, I'm only saying to be mature about it.
Breaking this rule gets you a Warning. A second offense gets you Banned.
- No hacking, hijacking, and/or modifying other peoples profiles.
One warning followed by a ban.
- Warn when posting content that contains language, and/or mature themes.
Please put a warning in the title of any questionable posts you may make. Something simple like (contains language/violence/extreme awesomeness) will work just fine. Failing to do so will result in removal of the content, but you are welcome to re-post the content with a modified title. Also, Just so everyone knows, "red banned" means "Rated R" and "NSFW" means Not Suitable For Work.
The whole point of eCultureONLINE is to break away from all the muck of the other social networks, and be a community that befriends and empowers one another. But that will not happen if we each have to be on guard. eCultureONLINE is a safe zone. Members can let their guard down and be real. And if I find any members taking advantage of this or being ass', I'm telling you right now, It will not be tolerated.
We know this sounds pretty harsh but we don't intend on ever having to go over this again so we want to get our point across.
Thank you for your compliance. Enjoy on eCultureONLINE.
